GJ- Day 1- Reveal

                                          What is Planetbase?
Planetbase is a strategy game where you have a colony of people and you need to build structures in-order for your people to live. You will need to collect energy, water, mine metal, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a functioning base.

Planetbase has many features!!!!! This game has 4 different planets show below and each of them have different conditions and difficulty. In-order to get onto the next level you need to get milestones which are obtained by completing tasks.

Planetbase has two different types of energy: wind and solar. You can grow vegetables and feed your population or else they die, just like everything else in the game... mine raw resources and process them to create other things. You also get to choose who gets to immigrate into your colony.

Create bots that will help to help you with tasks and the best feature about this game is.....DISASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are 4 types of disasters: meteors, sandstorms,solar flares and last but not least intruders.

                How to download DOSbox and play carbuilder

To download DOSbox you need to add it to your chrome extensions by clicking on this link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dosbox-for-google-chrome/jhceknlmaggijlkkcemdaghpniimajhd

after you have added it to your extensions a new tab should open up showing all your apps and DOSbox should be one of those options. After launching DOSbox click on the "?" at the bottom right corner a new tab should open up. Click on the Delete C:\ drive contents at the top right and after doing so you click on import local directory to C:\ drive and click on computer scroll down and click on HAND-OUT (O:) then choose carbuilder. After it is in installing restart your DOSbox and your done.

                                    How to use carbuilder

After you have restarted you Dosbox type in cd carbuild beside C:\> and click enter after doing so there should be C:\CARBUILD> under the C:\>cd carbuild. type in car and carbuilder should pop up with a message that says "Car Builder v2.02 Copyright Optimum Resource, Inc. Press any key". After clicking any key you should be in the main menu with the options:

• Esc- Exit to DOS
• M-Mechanical Design 
• B-Body Design
• T-Test Car
• S-Car Storage
• R-Car Report

Click M to get started building your car, after clicking on M again there should be a new menu:

• Esc-Return to Last Menu
• C-Chassis/Drivetrain
• S-Suspension/Steering
• T-Tires/Brakes

Click on C to choose your Chassis, Engine, Transmission and fuel. Click on S to choose your Front Suspension, your Rear Suspension and your steering. Click on T to choose your Front Tires, your Rear Tires, Front Brakes and your Rear Brakes. After your done building your car press Esc on your keyboard until your at the main menu and click on T where you can test to see weather or not your car is good or not. After clicking T-Test Car you get three options:

• Esc-Return to Last Menu
• W-Wind Tunnel
• R-Road Test

In-order to test your car on the road to need to test its Wind Tunnel first and after you have done that you can finally after all this time test your car on the road. :D After testing your car click on any key and if you like the results and the car you can click Esc until your at the main menu where you can save it. Click on S-Car Storage and there should be a few more options:

• Esc-Return to Last Menu
• C-Change Directory
• L-Load
• S-Save
• D-Directory Contents

Click on S-Save and type in the name you want to give to your car and it can only be eight characters long. After you have saved it and want to open your car click on L-Load where you can type the eight characters or so and you have it.The END~

This is how you create a flat world:

1.Click on single player

2. Click on create on world

3.Click on more world options

4. Click on world type          

    How to build a spaceship that appears to be floating in the air:
 1.Build 15-20 blocks up 
 2.Build the base of the ship 
 3.Break the pillar

                        How to take and find your screenshots:
1.Take a screenshot from pressing F2 
2.Click window logo on your keyboard 
3. Type run into the bar
4. Type %appdata%
5.Click on the .Minecraft folder6. click on screenshots

How to upload to google photos and create an album

1.Type into your web browser: https://photos.google.com/

2.Click on the + sign on the top right

3.Choose album

4.Add photos

     How add a caption at Picasa and create a slide show

1.Click on your album

2.Click on the image you want to add a caption to

3.There should be a add caption at the bottom of the image

4.Click save caption

5.At the right side click on edit

6.Where it says visibility click on it and choose: Limited, anyone with the link and choose save changes

7.Under post on there should be Link to this album

8.Click on it and it should bring up some more choices

9.Click on embed slideshow

10.Choose your slideshow size and show captions(if you have any)

11.Copy and paste the HTML onto your website

                                                                     What I Learned
Even though this was a short week i re-learned some things that I have forgotten over Spring break. Like how to add sounds to flash, add buttons and many other things. When you want to add a sound to a specific frame you want to add a keyframe so it'll start at that frame. (eg: frame 10)

-Always save every 5-10mins
-lock layers that you aren't working on
-don't skip stuff ask for help
-don't let others touch your work unless you know exactly what they are going to do
